About that lunch...

Man...this kid can eat...and he is not picky either. As long as meat is involved he's good. This morning at breakfast, he devoured bacon and sausage, fruit, yogurt, eggs, noddles, rice, water, and juice.
Now for lunch we ventured out down the road a little. First I must say that we almost got ran over.....seriously, I am not kidding, we almost got ran over. Anyway, we decided on KFC, adventurous, right? Well, placed my order, and some how ended up with everything that I did not order....okay...let's just go with it..which is when we discovered our boys love for chicken wings...I mean he cleaned every piece of meat off the bone..all the while Lilly was gagging..but this time we have an eater on our hands. He will eat anything so far.

After that, we stopped off at Dairy Queen for some ice-cream and again, he loved it. Later we are going back to the mall, to look around.

It's official.

He's ours! We went back today and signed the rest of the papers. I thought Matt took some pictures, and he thought I did, ugh, but I have some from this morning, and some from yesterday.
Things continue to go well. I am anxious to get home and get his therapy started, so we can get him stronger. He let's nothing stop him at all, he is very determined to get whatever he needs, without help. He's so so sweet...very agreeable, very sweet boy...
Today after the papers were signed we went to walmart to pick up a stroller, and a million junky toys, but hey it made him happy...Lilly picked out a few things as well. Currently he is watching cartoons on the DVD player.
We are off to find some lunch. I'll update again later.

We've got him!

After waiting for what seemed to be a million hours, we finally have him! Lilly and I woke up at 3 am, so it really did take a long time to get to 3pm,but alas the time came, and in he walked. He was very scared, more so than Lilly was, but you can tell he has an easy personality, just that he was very scared. His director said that he was nervous, and sad about leaving his friends.
I have to give Lilly a BIG shout out. She is helping him so much! She has been so so sweet. I can't really judge anything by today with him. He is really in shock. No smiles yet. But they will come! He's such a cute boy. We are very very blessed. Now we are off to make this boy smile!

Honestly...

We made it, but barely. We are beyond exhausted and grumpy. Lilly did pretty good, considering. Actually she may have complained the least so far. We started out with issues when I realized that there was no in seat entertainment.. Then finally Lilly fell asleep, and so did I....then I woke up feeling wet and came to the realization that Lilly had peed in her pants while she was sleeping....that was fun to clean up. Our food was really bad...I can go on and on, but I am not going to bore you with my negativity. So what I meant to say was, oh yes, we made it, and that in it's self is enough to be thankful for!
More tomorrow. My brain is hardly working tonight.

Lagging

We slept good. We really did. Our room is a little small, but very nice. We might need a bigger one after tomorrow. : ) This morning we woke up and went down for our first breakfast. It was pretty amazing, I must say, which was quite opposite than what we experienced in Hangzhou when we were adopting Lilly. So that was a big plus there, and that in itself made us very happy. After breakfast, we met our guide to go to the bank to exchange some money. She said it would be a short walk, and after about 20 minutes of walking, I would say her idea of short and mine are two different things. Let me back up. For some reason my legs swelled up really really bad on the flight coming home, and have been hurting me since, so the walk to the bank was extra annoying. We did get to see more of the town of Nanjing though on the walk and really enjoyed that part of the trip. So we arrived at the bank, and had 15 people in front of us. Banks in China are very busy. So we sat in the waiting room, while everyone in there pretty much starred at us. Lilly seemed oblivious to the fact that they were talking about her and us. I have no idea what they were saying, but it was pretty obvious they were saying something. After we exchanged our money, we walked through the

mall that is attached to our hotel, and of course made a run through mcdonalds. We were so thirsty at that point, I am pretty sure I had the best coke I have ever had!
We went back to the room, to have some free time and ended up, falling asleep for a quick nap, that lasted from 1-6. Jet lag is really hitting us hard this time..maybe because we did not sleep on the flight? Maybe because we are older? I only know that we are very sleepy!
That's all for now! We have to find some supper! Much love to you all.
.

I have no idea.

Sweet.
